It's difficult for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The highest peaks have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the team that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to another six T20 titles, and once went 1,294 days unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, targeted by the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a side that has achieved everything.

The fact it required up to Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase above 300, reclaiming their record for the largest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, frankly, a compliment to the pitchers that have worn canary yellow over five decades.

It's challenging for their batsmen to possess a record if not afforded the possibility.

Finally, the result of Australia allowing 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy getting a platform to deliver her latest masterpiece.

Initially recognized as the young family member of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she first played in 2010 after her country couldn't capture either of the T20 or ODI World Cups held the previous year and has seen it all through 15 championship-filled years since.

Success in the T20 World Cup arrived three months after her bow and seven world titles have resulted from 10 attempts across formats.

The tough gloveman was in attendance in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final defeat by India momentarily interrupted the successful run.

That loss "motivated us to reconsider our benchmarks," Healy said this week.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy hit 170 against England in the championship match and was declared player of the series. She guaranteed her country would not fall short again.

Whether this recent magnificent innings exceeded that prior achievement is debatable.

Many contend the argument supporting final game tension. Others can counter with the challenge that comes when facing a record target and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What's clear is this ton was much more difficult to see coming.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 happened while she led the batting statistics, but this innings came after six matches in India since the start of last month in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"If you've observed me in practice sessions, it has been a challenging time because it seemed I've had no rhythm whatsoever," said Healy.

"But once you enter the playing area, your competitive instincts take over and you simply focus on the match."

Healy's competitive nature has consistently been her major advantage - and a priceless quality in taking over from famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

She was tormented by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, dismissed by the 22-year-old seamer in all three matches, but this time it merely gave Healy's inspiration.

A single came off the opening delivery and after that the batsman was on her way.

"An opportunity to play and lock in a contest with her and simply enjoy myself in that regard, somewhat inspired me," stated Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 deliveries - her swiftest at the World Cup - and her century in 84 as she attacked short-pitched balls, striking 21 boundaries and three big hits.

When she was removed Australia needed 66 additional runs at a run-a-ball - an achievable target now demanding an easy conclusion.

"To chase 330 is uncharted waters so I'm pleased we have the assurance to accomplish that now," stated Healy further.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it another time but, if necessary, we are confident we can do it."

These statements will be the final thing rival teams at this championship should hear.

In recent days a feeling they will succeed regardless of circumstances has only strengthened - this triumph following victory over Pakistan by 107 runs despite being 76-7 at one stage.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against longtime competitors England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a last-four spot may likely be confirmed.

It was at that stage they exited the previous year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - a match Healy missed because of torn tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the initial instance at an important competition.

So strong is her resolve, she later said she wanted to have participated despite the injury.

Yet even as she afterwards confessed those physical issues have delayed thoughts of retirement, this tournament is likely to be her last as captain in one-day cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a global event as skipper.

Victory in India would take her to the summit of her last major obstacle.
