This incident caused the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
